How is material delivered?

All bagged material is delivered on a 20 tonne vehicle at the kerb-side using a tail lift offload. Unfortunately we are not currently able to offer any other types of delivery. Please ensure you have a flat, hard surface, away from the roadside for the driver to offload. For access and delivery restrictions please see our Aggregates Delivery page. Please be aware that if your road or driveway is on an incline or decline this may cause issues for the tail lift and pallet truck offload. The driver will not be able to get the pallet truck onto a gravel driveway.

What is the difference between white and brown salt?

White De-icing Salt is sourced outside the UK from various mines across the world. White salt contains large granules and is generally used in areas where cleanliness and hygiene is important as it is the purer of the de-icing products and leaves very little residue. White salt is prefered by schools, retail outlets and hospitals and can be spread manually or by using a mechanical spreader on paths, roads, car parks and play grounds etc.

Brown Rock Salt is sourced from both within the UK, and various mines across the world. Brown rock salt contains large granules and is the most commonly used in the UK. The product’s natural brown colour becomes usefull when spreading because it is visible on snow. Brown salt can be spread manually or by using a mechanical spreader on paths, roads, car parks and playgrounds etc.
